In particular, the Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management at the University of Cadiz is aimed at University Graduates, especially Graduates in Business Administration and Management, Economics, Law, Psychology, Graduates in Labour Sciences, Degree in Labour Relations and Human Resources, or qualifications equivalent to the above, with sufficient knowledge of English and preferably with work experience, who wish to acquire high-level training in the field of Human Resources Management that will allow them professional and/or research experience in this field.
Specifically, and in relation to the academic qualification, the map of qualifications of Spanish universities was analysed, and the degree of preference of the qualification to be considered as a criteria in the admissions process was categorised into three levels.
Entry requirements and admission criteria
As established in article 16 of R.D. 1393/2007 and the modification of the same by R.D. 861/2010, “in order to access the official teaching of the Master’s degree it will be necessary to hold an official Spanish university degree or another issued by a higher education institution belonging to another member state of the European Higher Education Area which entitles the holder to access the Master’s degree”.
Likewise, in accordance with this section and section 2 of the same article 16 of R.D. 1393/2007, the University Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management by the University of Cadiz, assumes that graduates from educational systems outside the European Higher Education Area can access without the need for the homologation of their degrees, after verification by the University of Cadiz that they accredit a level of training equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish university degrees and that they entitle them in the country issuing the degree for access to postgraduate education. Access by this route will not imply, under any circumstances, the homologation of the previous qualification held by the interested party, nor its recognition for any other purposes than the Master’s Degree.

- It will be required that you are able to prove that you have a minimum level of B1 in English.
- For international students who don’t come from a Spanish speaking country, it will be required that they are able to prove that they have a minimum level of B2 in Spanish.
The admission criteria will be published on the Centre’s website, the University of Cadiz postgraduate website and on the website of the Unique Andalusian District (DUA). The selected students will receive a reasoned resolution of their score from the DUA so that they can fully and transparently exercise their rights within the legal deadline for claims.

The admission process will begin with the presentation in due time and form of the corresponding application of the candidate, providing the required documentation (academic record and curriculum vitae):
- The application for a place will be submitted by filling out the appropriate electronic form that will be available on the DUA website during the application deadlines established by the DUA, which will list all the master’s degrees of interest to the applicant, in order of preference.
- During the completion of this form, the computer system will allow the applicant, if necessary, to provide in PDF format the documentation required by each master’s degree program.
- Applicants who have been admitted will formalise the enrollment (or pay, in the case of foreigners, the corresponding payment on account of the enrollment) in the master’s degree within the established period with the procedure established by the corresponding university. The DUA computer system will notify the applicant when he/she can register or reserve a place.
In the event that you finally obtain a place, you must present the original documents that allow you to verify the veracity of the information provided in the form at the respective centre where you register.
Information on student support and orientation
Master’s Degree Dissemination Programme (prior to enrolment)
Since the 2005/2006 academic year, when the Master’s Degrees were presented for accreditation by the University of Cádiz that come from Doctoral Programs with mention of Excellence, and among which the Master in Human Resources Management was included, the University of Cádiz has made a great effort to disseminate its offer in several fields:
- Participation in Fairs, Conferences and Conventions.
- The website of the University of Cadiz.
- The website of the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies.
- The specific web page of each master’s degree.
- The Unique Andalusian District (DUA).
Once the students have enrolled, the centre, through the degree coordination, carries out an orientation and socialisation process for students (Welcome Day). At this session, the degree coordinator, together with the course coordinators, the dean and/or part of the dean’s team of the centre:
- They provide background information on the Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management
- Explain its contents, competences and methodologies (visual outline).
- Give information about its coordinators
- Give information about the virtual campus
- Give information about timetables, classrooms and exams
- Give information about the TFM, IT, and internship period for students of the professional profile.
- Provide information about the BAU tool
- Inform about the virtual campus
- They make a guided tour of the centre’s facilities to inform you about the material resources available for the degree: library, copy shop, learning space, etc.
